Husband has come home to help with the taxes. Right now, his help consists of creating many piles of paper on the floor. Organized piles of paper.

I like the funky stonework. I bet there's a story behind it. Snellville, east of Atlanta, was founded by the Snells, who were stonemasons who quarried Stone Mountain. The buildings they built are all this very distinctive crazy-quilt of every shape of stone.
I need to finish my taxes. I am being a horrible procrastinator.
At the moment I'm waiting at the doctors office to get my hand checked. It has been almost two weeks since I slammed the door of my hand and I still see stars if I bump those fingers against anything.
Now on hold with the IRS with a question. The funny thing is, we might actually get money back this year, since husband was out of work at the beginning of it and I was out of work at the end.
If you are getting money back then today really isn't a deadline for you. April 15th really only applies if you owe taxes.
Yeah, but I'm not convinced yet, because we're not done entering everything. And once we're done entering everything, which will determine whether or not we owe, we're pretty much ready to file.
I know I owe. Just need to get in some final numbers. Blah.
It's a zebra because there's so much reading between the lines.

I like that house, too. The stonework is distinctive and I would become quite fond of my fugly stone house. I even like the subway tile in the bathroom. And the hardwood floors and the deck look great. Renovations would definitely be easier with the Property Brothers than having to find your own contractor, though.
Hope your hand is basically okay, Suzi.
Taxes are stressful even when they're easy, sorry you're having such a day with them, Dana.
It's been raining hard for 12 hours. I took my poor battered plants off the patio and moved them under the shelter of the porch. That's something I hadn't considered, in my idea of creating a container garden on the patio: there's no shelter at all if the weather becomes damaging. I don't know how serious a problem this is. Maybe I'll just do it and see what happens. My family motto being "How hard can it be?", I thought I was up to the challenge of arranging plants on a concrete slab.
That's why I practice Darwinian gardening. My plants just have to manage as best they can, the fittest will survive.
Man, I have an hour and half of work left and I so son't want to start anything. Sigh.

Right there with you.
Hm. Maybe I'll do a little documentation.
