So it's just like HIMYM in real life, then?
Never watched it, so...maybe?
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Also not an April Fool's joke: My regular bar for the last ten years is closing! I am seriously bummed about this, there are no other cool bars in my neighborhood!
Oh, my god, sans-serif fonts. How is it possible for someone to consistently type a capital I when they mean lower-case l? Why do I have to keep changing things into Times New Roman to double-check the freaking letter? How is this my life?
I've decided to just watch it unfold without commenting. (Which, in the end, may make me a dick for not offering congratulations on a real wedding

I need to post about a bunch of gear the theatre is giving away but I'm afraid people will think it's a joke.

Why is someone using a POWER DRILL in the LIBRARY?
I have a friend who got married on All Fool's Day. In her verifiable defense, I was chief bridesmaid.
Also pre-FB.
You know there are some people who get married on April 1st (or Halloween)? They are definitely those people.
DON'T MARRY AN IMPROVISER, FOLKS.
I was prepared to give an update at a meeting this morning, but of course it ran long and they didn't get to me. I guess I could email the update, but I'm feeling vaguely indignant because I actually did a thing! I got something done! I'm totally doing stuff, guys!

I am awaiting details.

I wanted to do this, but my mom and step-dad had a concert scheduled to perform at that day so I changed it to St. Patrick's day. I could have asked them to not go, but I didn't want to do that. They probably would have been okay with mom, but they had far fewer men in the chorus and he would have been missed.
I don't have a problem with people getting married on April Fools' Day (or any other holiday/day of notoriety), just to be clear. I was just stymied by a wedding announcement that didn't have a "this is real, seriously!" disclaimer, made on the internet on a day set aside for pranks.
t edit Plus, I am a paranoid jerk who doesn't like falling for pranks, so I disbelieve everything today.
