Well, it's just good to know that when the chips are down and things look grim you'll feed off the girl who loves you to save your own ass!

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Man, there are jokes for every kind of geek. [link]

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have a friend who got married on All Fool's Day. In her verifiable defense, I was chief bridesmaid.

Also pre-FB.

You know there are some people who get married on April 1st (or Halloween)? They are definitely those people.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I was prepared to give an update at a meeting this morning, but of course it ran long and they didn't get to me. I guess I could email the update, but I'm feeling vaguely indignant because I actually did a thing! I got something done! I'm totally doing stuff, guys!

Why is someone using a POWER DRILL in the LIBRARY?

I am awaiting details.

Our wings are not tired.

I have a friend who got married on All Fool's Day.

I wanted to do this, but my mom and step-dad had a concert scheduled to perform at that day so I changed it to St. Patrick's day. I could have asked them to not go, but I didn't want to do that. They probably would have been okay with mom, but they had far fewer men in the chorus and he would have been missed.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I don't have a problem with people getting married on April Fools' Day (or any other holiday/day of notoriety), just to be clear. I was just stymied by a wedding announcement that didn't have a "this is real, seriously!" disclaimer, made on the internet on a day set aside for pranks.

t edit Plus, I am a paranoid jerk who doesn't like falling for pranks, so I disbelieve everything today.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I have made it my policy to just believe things (unless they are obviously very silly) and if it was someone joking about, for instance, getting married then fuck them. Basically.

brillig

I have made it known to all my friends that I will do my utmost to disrupt any pranks or practical jokes I become aware of. And that they do not amuse me. The majority of them have been thinly veiled opportunities for cruelty, and I am no fan of the perpetrators of such.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Words to live by.

True & Co. had a cute thing where they replaced all of the sizing with kittens today. That was fun. And fuzzy. Looking.

I'm loving the Google+ thing about David Hasselhoff photobombing pictures. That should be a real thing.
