Now, this would be the perfect time for a swear word.

Always Anti-fascist!

My grandfather died very unexpectedly. Not so good from a resolution/closure standpoint, but it was not lingery which he would have hated. As much as my mawkish side might want to leave messages and stuff, maybe that's what I'd prefer.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Erika, I'm sorry.

Amy, that sounds awesome! Much ~ma to you.

Everything went well at the dentist, and I have drugs. Z-pac to stave off any infection, and some painkillers. Not sure about the goodness of them (Norco?), but I'll be finding out soon - numbness is starting to wear off.

Oh, I didn't mean now, that happened many years before, just trying to participate in the methods-of-expiring conversation from...quite a few posts back. Although his birthday just passed last week and he might be tickled if old sorrow could lead to new free drinks.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Norco? Good narcotic. Contains Tylenol too. So don't take any of that. And happy opiating!

Thank you, Cass! I'll wait until a bit later to take it, as I would like to make some egg-drop soup, first.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

That view is amazing.

True enough, although with the weather we're having it won't be quite as awesome as it could be. Still, the lights on the Bay Bridge are very pretty.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I haven't been outside since about dawn, I forgot it was raining.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Rain is good, right?

Glad everything went well, Anne.

information libertarian

Teppy, would you live with kids, assuming you had kids, on Ruther or lower Bishop in Clifton? I am feeling, today, like we're so stuck on buying a house in Hyde Park and not only are we not Hyde Park people, I don't want to BE Hyde Park people.

I joked a couple months ago about not being sure if we needed a real estate agents or a psychotherapist, and really it wasn't that much of a joke. I kind of feel like buying a house is asserting my identity, as well as committing to spending the rest of my life in Cincinnati, which is sadly not where I would ideally like to live although it has its good things, as well as being a huge financial decision that we fucked up last time. But we can't keep renting a house with no yard forever.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Why not rent a house with a yard?
