I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I haven't been outside since about dawn, I forgot it was raining.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Rain is good, right?

Glad everything went well, Anne.

Teppy, would you live with kids, assuming you had kids, on Ruther or lower Bishop in Clifton? I am feeling, today, like we're so stuck on buying a house in Hyde Park and not only are we not Hyde Park people, I don't want to BE Hyde Park people.

I joked a couple months ago about not being sure if we needed a real estate agents or a psychotherapist, and really it wasn't that much of a joke. I kind of feel like buying a house is asserting my identity, as well as committing to spending the rest of my life in Cincinnati, which is sadly not where I would ideally like to live although it has its good things, as well as being a huge financial decision that we fucked up last time. But we can't keep renting a house with no yard forever.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Why not rent a house with a yard?

I would, yeah. I like that part of Clifton a lot.

I kind of feel like buying a house is asserting my identity

Well, picking a part of town is asserting one's identity in this town. I totally get what you mean about not wanting to be Hyde Park people. I like Hyde Park; I lived there for several years. But I am not a Hyde Park person. I loved living in Clifton, and probably would have stayed there forever if Tim hadn't already had a house.

It's got approximately 10,000 Indian restaurants and might actually get a damn grocery store in Kellers' location before the end of the decade. A food co-op would be sweet. And the library is moving to the old frat house on Bishop. Which you probably knew.

It's not the rest of your life.

Rain is good, right?

Yes, it is! Though I have decided I do not want to run in it today. OTOH, it's warm enough to bring the avocados out of the greenhouse, so, y'know, can't complain.

I wish I had a life where I could say this.

It is a pretty excellent aspect of my life, that I can say that. Also, need to pick oranges.

They should totally put a Trader Joe's in the Keller's building. Amirite?

I would die of happiness. (I heard -- although I don't know how reliable this info is -- that Trader Joe's has said they don't want to put any more stores in the Cincy area. Boo.) But a food co-op, which is apparently a strong possibility, would be cool, too.
