Mostly I want a Box o' Meaty Noms. And an endlessly stocked kitchen. And a good night's sleep and a day off to play in the kitchen. I like to cook.

The DH was away all week, as he was the last two weeks, and gets back tomorrow. I get home from work tomorrow night and then leave at 6 the next morning to go home to Virginia for a week. I am hanging with mom so I can be there when she gets the results of her CAT scan to see if the nodes in her lung have grown which means the cancer is back (which we are all kind of expecting). So, not feeling very valentine-ish. However, we do plan on watching lots of old movies and stuff when we're not doing medical things.
I'm intrigued that the box o meat has so many types of meat!

Dinner was yum. I made the cauliflower and pork chops, and some gravy to go with. I try to avoid gravy usually but I was feeling the need and ye gads was it good!

I had no cauliflower, which was clearly a mistake on my part. I did have mac and cheese, though, so all was not lost on the noms front. I'm intrigued by the box of meat, too. Is it like a CSA for meat or more like a beast bits of the month club thing?
In theory I should be heading into work today. In reality, both ways back into town from my office involve shaded hills that may to entirely unfreeze, so I'm gonna see about working from home.

I am almost on vacation! As soon as I have this 8:30 call with my boss. Then I have a huge to-do list before I get on the plane tonight. Ooh la la!
And my director just snt out an email telling us to work from home if at all possible. Lord love her.

It is exactly like a CSA for meat. I may have found if by googling the phrase "CSA for meat". Marin Sun Farms : they do seasonal local pasture-raised organic whatever other adjectives might apply meats, you can choose what package you want which is basically how much you get (I think I get 9 pounds a month? That seems like a lot, maybe I am remembering wrong) and they choose the animals and cuts. This was only my second pickup but it's working out well for me so far.
