"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Good. I'm glad you're in touch with her.

Glad you check in, Kat.

My pool opens at 9 on Sundays. They close at 1 today to paint, which is why I'm going early. Normally I'm part of the evening closing crew on weekends.

I should've taken a picture of my hair this morning. Pumpkin didn't come to bed before I fell asleep, but clearly she did later. A good half of it was valiantly trying to remain vertical with kinks and twists I did not put there.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'm on the miss-ita train too.

Normally I don't approve of jillifonticide, but in the intersection of poisonous and little kids with curiosity, I'd go for the terminate-with-prejudice option myself.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Glad to hear about text check-ins, Kat.

I would probably kill a black widow in the garage, but I would feel bad about it. If I have any (and I probably do) they politely stay out of sight, so I can pretend they aren't there.

Mmm, coffee.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I leave all the beneficial jillifonts and relocate the poisonous or unsettlingly large ones. I have taught countless girls the jar trick for moving bugs.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Well, I'm up and puttering around. I've made breakfast and coffee. It's pretty cold outside, but I guess I could go to Target? I only have one coffee filter left, and they might have cauliflower.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I am up and the dogs have been out and fed and now I get to edit. Joy. They want this document back by noon, and I have many pages of dreadfully dull material to wade through.

Wish me easily-spotted typos.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Other than the weekly grocery shopping trip, nothing much planned for today.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I can't decide if I hope my mother wants to go shopping this afternoon or not. On the plus side, there are a couple of things I want to look for. On the minus side, I'd rather not wear my clean jeans before vacation! And I'm not sure I can go to even Christmas Tree Shop in inside pants.

information libertarian

I swear to god, if I ever kill my husband, it will be because he suggested, AGAIN, that I buy a Mac for my computer. We've been married fifteen years. We've had this fight 400 times. The software I need to run does not run on a Mac. Yes, I know I can install Windows on a Mac and dual boot. But I can buy a functional PC laptop for half what the Mac would cost, goddamnit, and I PREFER it.

(Anybody thinking of recommending a Mac to me in the next post, think afuckinggain.)
