Oh my god. What can it be? We're all doomed! Who's flying this thing!? Oh right, that would be me. Back to work.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Well, we don't have ita around and she was very good at getting conversations going.

I miss ita.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I am become mucous, destroyer of sinuses. All shall hear my horking and despair.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I went to bed early last night because I'm trying this thing where I act slightly more like an adult about my sleeping habits. Now I'm awake before 8am on a Sunday, and I don't know what to do with myself.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I went to bed early because I was tired so now I am up only slightly after I usually get up during the week. Which is kind of what I'm trying to do with my Sundays, since it's so hard to get things like laundry done on any other day, and I am better at getting stuff done in the morning.

Good thing I did today, as Walter was able to take advantage of a brief lull in the rain and enjoy the backyard for a little while. Now it's pouring again and he is all afeared. Not even thunder, just the sound of rain hitting the roof. Poor dog.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I went to bed late. And yet? Still up at seven thirty on a Sunday.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

In general, I'm not as good at sleeping in as I used to be, but I am still terrible at going to bed early on the weekends! At least I had sort of gotten enough sleep by the time my mother came down to shower at 8.

And I feel some pressure to do my laundry while my parents are at church, which is actually so good for me. I can put off doing laundry forever.

I technically slept in, though I wouldn't mind morning drowsing. But I'm up and dressed to go to the pool. As soon as I finish my coffee. This should be an interesting swim; a muscle/tendon across my collarbone is protesting a bit. And morning swims tend to be either just weird or complete shitshows. So then...

And then I shall make a holy mess of my house. And then clean it up. And contemplate hiring a professional duster.

I slept in until 6:30! Obviously I love morning swims, but my pool doesn't open until 11:00.

Saturday nights have been traditionally quiet.

I miss ita too. I check in by text every so often to make sure she is okay.
