I'm thinking of ordering Chinese food delivery. Then I can have the traditional NYE meal of, um, fried rice and wonton soup. Yeah. Oh, and then I'll get a fortune cookie (or six, they're generous with them) and I'll know my fortune for the year! Good; plan made.

That sounds like an excellent plan.
Can you tell I don't have much actual work today?
Until this morning, there was a pile of papers and other stuff that had been on my desk since before I started. It's gone now.
I'm making veggie burger sliders. They're "caribbean" style, which pretty much just means that there's Jamaican curry powder in them. They're supposed to be served with nectarine salsa, but I didn't feel like making it, so I'm serving them with mango chutney instead. They've got mushed-up black-eyed peas as one of the ingredients, so I guess that counts.
OK, gotta go make bread dough. But first, have a totally wonderful short animated film about a knight and a princess and a dragon. The animation is awesome.
I am making black eyed peas and will eat it with kale salad. I'm trendy like that.
I've already decided I'm having buttered noodles for dinner Thursday(not as fancy as last year's Community Premiere Meal, but probably healthier), but tonight or tomorrow, nsm. Nor tomorrow breakfast. Maybe a broccoli and cheese omelet?
I don't know what I'm making tonight. Dal? Yes, perhaps dal.

I like this idea, and may have to steal it.
Bringing two topics together, I'm not a big fan of maple flavor either. Something astringenty about it. But I do regret being unable to bring the maple syrup given as a favor at a Toronto wedding over the border.
