A while back, I ordered these custom cushions from someone who said she could have them done by Christmas.... I just wrote to check in on them, and she hasn't even gotten the fabric yet! (I mean, she has ordered it, but it has not arrived.) Not that I'm really pressed about the date, but she could have reached out to me about it. Luckily, I do not need anyone to sit on the cushions this week.
Natter 72: We Were Unprepared for This
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
sara, what's the clause? Is this lead stuff?
A bird just flew into our window. Hope it's okay.
I'm now folding all of the things and I have to cut 5 more pairs of pajamas and then sew those plus another 2. I think the orange bike ones we'll send to K's sister.
Pre-official close move-in. Personally, I would be leery, but the seller is highly motivated, it's just the lenders' and holiday schedules that turned the actual close date into a moving target. Everyone agrees on that. Appears to be working out, though I think it is freaking the staging people out.
And I'm officially spending the Monday I'm back waiting for the plumbers. The scheduler was perturbed that with a clogged sewer line, I couldn't make the first slot this morning that they'd carved out. Um, not there?
I do wish the warranty folk had the same definition of emergency service as I do( may not realize this contractor is not 24/7?) but that will be discussed later. I can't complain about the cost.
It is time for another round of FUCK CANCER. One friend and one relative have already been diagnosed this month. Now I get a call that my massage therapist (who is the most amazing therapist I've ever had and a fantastic woman) has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
FUCK, FUCK, FUCKITY, FUCK.
Fuck cancer, man.
Speaking of massages, though, I just had to cancel my poor mother's appointment for Friday because of the damn shingles! Poor boo.
Jesus, Suzi. I'm so sorry. Fuck cancer indeed.
Very sorry, Suzi.
Judge Shelby opted not to put a stay on marriages in Utah (not surprising as he issue the first ruling, I guess). So now the 10th District Court has to weigh in. In the meantime, gay marriages for all who want them!
