I submitted final grades for the semester. So far, two emails from students who want to negotiate their grades. I'm figuring I'll probably get two or three more by the end of the day.
I just interviewed two people, and remembered one of my issues as an interviewer: When I like the person, I'm done in 20 minutes. Which doesn't really seem fair to the person who came all this way...
I have interviewed student workers that I liked in 5 minutes! It is very embarrassing. I think they think they are not hired, but I often hire them. Of course, my requirement for student workers is mostly that I like them!
