'Suela, I am thrilled you are feeling that getting up at 5:45 on your birthday was a "good thing."
I love the diversity of human beings because there is no way in Hades I would get up at 5:45 am on my birthday voluntarily unless it involved Idris Elba showing up at my door.
Happy Birthday!
le nubian, did you see the pictures from last week of Kate Middleton meeting Idris Elba? She looked just like you'd think anyone would look -- kind of hysterically excited.
Happy birthday, Consuela!

Hah. Well, I didn't really want to, but I knew that if I went for a run with my sister it would help me feel good, which it did. I'm really trying to stay on a reasonable schedule while I'm unemployed, no sleeping until noon, that sort of thing. It's just healthier, I think.
Besides, going up to my sister's house to run meant I got a free piece of leftover cake to eat for breakfast! Win-win.
Happy birthday, Consuela!
If Idris Elba shows up at my door at 5:45am, he'll be arriving right about when I'm feeding the hungry beasts, so he might as well bring donuts and coffee.
Happy birthday, Consuela!
Happy Birthday Suela!
Msbelle, much love to you and your family. My grandmother lived until she was 102, and the last couple of years were tough for my mom.
I cooked a 17lb turkey for five last night. Lots of leftovers!
Since it is so horribly cold right now, I'm taking advantage of the walking desks in our office. Typing while walking is not a skill I've fully developed yet.
I do feel a bit like that lady who was Jen's nemesis on the IT Crowd.
I've never heard of a walking desk before but I am now picturing a bunch of people wandering down corridors pushing along a raised desk with a laptop opened in front of them, bumping into each other and the walls.
It is in fact a treadmill desk, but I prefer the mental image of bumper desks much more than the 2.5 mph reality.
