I am thrilled you are feeling that getting up at 5:45 on your birthday was a "good thing
Hah. Well, I didn't really want to, but I knew that if I went for a run with my sister it would help me feel good, which it did. I'm really trying to stay on a reasonable schedule while I'm unemployed, no sleeping until noon, that sort of thing. It's just healthier, I think.
Besides, going up to my sister's house to run meant I got a free piece of leftover cake to eat for breakfast! Win-win.

Since it is so horribly cold right now, I'm taking advantage of the walking desks in our office. Typing while walking is not a skill I've fully developed yet.
I do feel a bit like that lady who was Jen's nemesis on the IT Crowd.

I've never heard of a walking desk before but I am now picturing a bunch of people wandering down corridors pushing along a raised desk with a laptop opened in front of them, bumping into each other and the walls.

It is in fact a treadmill desk, but I prefer the mental image of bumper desks much more than the 2.5 mph reality.

I am so cold! Wearing jeans and fleece-lined leggings in my house. I think the problem is that my feet are cold and that's affecting the whole situation. But the slippers that I've loved for the last few years have finally worn out and I haven't found any suitable replacements.
