Classic my boss, I ask for half a day off mid-December he send me back this: "Here we go again. Remember the conversation on stop charging me 15 minutes of OT and if you need off at noon you have earned it take off. If we want to split frog hairs we can??"
The last time I tried the do not put in for vacation, just take the time thing, I sent an email asking if I could be home while A/C inspection was happening or if I should take a half-day vacation - he said just no vacation request needed and THEN less than a week later threatened to write up an absence form for the time and how he didn't want to get into "the issues I had at corporate for attendance" which were COMPLETELY FABRICATED ISSUES AND HE KNOWS IT.
I sent him back this "If it is ok with you, it is just easier for me to mark my time as it is and ask for time when I need it. I'll lose track otherwise."
msbelle, that is some passive-aggressive fuckwattery right there. Not having a clearly defined process for time off/comp time/vacation just gives weasels weasel room to be weasels.
I'm on day 7 of this cold. I still barely can talk.
I was about to say my cold cleared up a lot faster but then I remembered I was only pretending to be sick.

Not to mention that the one time he told me I could leave really early was after I had worked 13 hours of overtime the previous week, and the day he told me I could go was super busy and I had to work until 6pm anyway.
I really need to send out resumes over T-day break.

So I'm not at work today, because my father is back in the hospital after another seizure. Oy. So I was there with my mom for a couple of hours, and now she has a meeting so I am home. He's way better than he was after the last time, which is good, I think.

Nope. They thought the first one was just a fluke, so I don't know if now he'll go on anti-seizure meds or what.
