Every planet has its own weird customs. About a year before we met, I spent six weeks on a moon where the principal form of recreation was juggling geese. My hand to God. Baby geese. Goslings. They were juggled.

Dear Slightly smelly driver with heavy heavy smoke smell, please stop leaning in while you have me trapped in an office helping you to enroll for benefits online. I need some scent therapy.

This is why I have a tin of Gardenia solid perfume at my desk. INHALE.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

My aunt's housekeeper was over yesterday, working on re-organizing my uncle's way WAY overcrowded walkin closet. (I think my aunt decided to have her do this because my uncle wouldn't be around to rescue all the tattered holey unmatched socks from the garbage. They are just hoarders with a really large house and a lot of storage. And a weekly housekeeper.)

Anyway, my aunt mentioned in passing that the housekeeper likes to talk to herself, but that wasn't the half of it -- it's like the woman keeps up a running dialogue with herself, discussing what she's doing minute to minute. Since she's at the other end of the house, so it was faint, it wasn't distracting... just funny.

She did an excellent job, by the way.

This is where I mention that there is an open invitation to anyone who would like to come for a weekend and help me decide what clothes are super ugly on me and should be removed from closet.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Has there been some sort of bump in visibility for Gothic Charm School that I'm not aware of? Because I was just contacted by the THIRD casting agent/casting director in two weeks with questions about finding goth or alternative types for reality shows and commercials.

a) Casting season is approaching fast.

b) Goth/alt is verra popular right now.

c) DO EEEEET!

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Also there are places that send offers for ads, etc., out seemingly at random. Anyone else remember The Bloggess's story about that? and why hitting "reply all" is not a good idea?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Well, that certainly makes me feel less good about her/them.

I guess it would be more accurate to say she was conflicted about ending that column. She decided it was the right thing to do so in that sense she did want to end it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I am putting together my sister's Christmas present, and I'm kinda nervous. I'm putting all my eggs in a basket of a show she loves right now. What if it tanks before Christmas and I am effectively committed? I'm trying to think of backup stuff, and it's weak.

I much prefer going over to your apartment in NYC and deciding that all your vintage dresses look gorgeous on you.

sadly the aging has made my ribcage too large for many of those. I need to get pictures of them and see if Holli would like to buy them for her store.
