Zoe: Yeah? Thought you'd get land crazy that long in port. Wash: Probably, but I've been sane a long while now, and change is good.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I am putting together my sister's Christmas present, and I'm kinda nervous. I'm putting all my eggs in a basket of a show she loves right now. What if it tanks before Christmas and I am effectively committed? I'm trying to think of backup stuff, and it's weak.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

This is where I mention that there is an open invitation to anyone who would like to come for a weekend and help me decide what clothes are super ugly on me and should be removed from closet.

I much prefer going over to your apartment in NYC and deciding that all your vintage dresses look gorgeous on you.

sadly the aging has made my ribcage too large for many of those. I need to get pictures of them and see if Holli would like to buy them for her store.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

For tommyrot if he's around. "Bitcoin price soars over $266 and hits a new all-time high": [link]

I was afraid this would happen after I sold them.

I mean, the total amount of Bitcoins is fixed so you'd expect the prices to keep going up as more people use them. But then there's always a chance of another crash, so I'm still glad I got out when I did.

Selling them was a huge PITA, as the place I sold them at is having huge difficulties in letting customers get their money out (they're based in Japan)--some people have been waiting six months for their money! Plus there are bad rumors about the company. So I converted the money in that account back into Bitcoins and transferred them to a different company and sold them there. (I lost $500 doing that due to lower values in the new market.)

Anyway, I then got my money in two days and now I'm the proud owner of a new 15" Retina MacBook Pro.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

If I could figure out a way to make this happen, I would. Plus, I could fairy gothmother Mac and cajole/terrorize him into doing his homework!

a) Casting season is approaching fast.

b) Goth/alt is verra popular right now.

c) DO EEEEET!

Time to go email my Agent of Awesome and get her perspective!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I did totally check the JetBlue sale to see if there was Boston-Dallas, but no. Also, there is no way I should go out of town before February, which is when the sale is running, but whatever. Details!

Nerts. I wasn't sure if you'd sold them yet.

Librarian Warlord

I have Holiday Party problems... The BigBoss used to subsidize the library party - where for the past 30 years there has always been BBQ - to the tune of about $1K. While everyone would understand that the BigBoss, with his BigSalary, is no longer around to do that, and that the University has said no parties with university funds, it still breaks my little black heart to offer this staff nothing but a cookie and a shrug.

They are being asked to bake for the school's party, our Thanksgiving thing is traditionally a pot luck, and we have a retirement thing they are also being asked to contribute to -- so I hate to ask them again.

I'll discuss this in a meeting tomorrow with the department heads, but any ideas from creative thinkers would be appreciated . . .

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Oh, my god, I just had the best massage. I am a puddle of goo. I will be a puddle of pain tomorrow in certain areas, but so worth it.

Also, crap, I'm going to Orlando on Friday. I should pack.
