Giles: I'm sure we're all perfectly safe. Dawn: We're safe. Right. And Spike built a robot Buffy to play checkers with. Tara: It sounded convincing when I thought it.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Sure, Jilli.

Oh ita, I wish there was something I could do for you. This is nuts. I want to smack your neuro around.

ita, I hope you get something better than expected.

I think the only thing I like about colder weather is the cats curling up and sacking out with me all the time. Pumpkin's out so hard she is dreaming and poking Loki in the butt and he's out so hard his hind foot is on her forehead and neither notice. Oh, wait, she just rolled onto her back and now is burrowing into Loki's belly.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

If a fit of girliness, I got eyelash extensions yesterday. They felt fine last night but my eyes have been watering all day. Not sure if I'll keep them up or not.

Why is an old woman giving you a thong gift???

meara, that is exactly my question! I mean, she usually gives me magazines, which I appreciate and love. But a thong?! Plus, I have been swimming and lockering with her every week day and many Saturdays since July. I have never worn a thong in that time!

Also, I had to help her dispense mousse today because the new canister she had was too hard to use.

There's something completely lovely and haunting about the frailty of my Y friends, who are all 30 years older than I am.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have never worn a thong in that time!

I think that might be your clue right there.

It's a hint thong?

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Maybe she has really strong feels about VPLs?

I've gotten sexy bras from the mom and sister, because bras I wear are pricey, and I will say "I want X bra in Y size and Z color for Xmas."

Only good girlfriends attended my bachelorette, so I got pretty underwear and a salad bowl.

Heh.

I love my M-W-F aqua aerobics ladies. I'm finishing about when they start, but they always heckle me and if I finish early enough, we catch up before their class starts. They've been known to make the guards keep a lane until I'm done (normally goes down from 3 to 2) if it is crowded. (They have no compunction about invoking circle swim once I pop out, I've noticed.)

I know all about all their surgeries and kids and grandkids...

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I've gotten sexy bras from the mom and sister, because bras I wear are pricey, and I will say "I want X bra in Y size and Z color for Xmas."

That works.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

IO9 ran a "fanfic friday" for a while in which one of their regular commenters ripped a random fanfic to shreds. There was a weak disclaimer saying he likes some fanfics, this is just a bad one.

I remember that one. Annalee really didn't want to stop that feature but when she did I felt obliged to send her a supportive note. It was a quandry for her.
