Well, quite a lot of fuss. If I didn't know better, I'd think we were dangerous.

Jilli, you know a number of good tattoo artists, don't you?

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

It's probably not the best time for me to do this considering that I just started a new job today, but I feel like I've been letting my brain atrophy. I signed up for two intro classes this fall:

That looks fun, shrift! I'm trying Duolingo, myself, for French. [link] I have it on my phone and can do my daily session while walking the cat. I've managed to be fairly consistent for about a month now, which is a self study record for me and languages.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yay for working until 9 pm on my birthday.

I don't think yay is what you were looking for there?

If I have a cold, I'm going to be so pissed. I woke up with a sore throat and maybe I'm a little congested, but so far I'm pretending it was from somehow sleeping with my mouth open? Not that this has ever happened before....

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Calli, I've been doing Duolingo French too. I have not been as consistent as you, though. I work at it for a couple weeks, then slack off then come back to it. Do you think it would help or hinder being consistent to buddy up on it?

Science and cooking sounds fabulous!

I'm up! I swear! I'm awakeish.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Speaking of pain, last night I woke up about 3:50 and could not fall asleep because my hip/whatever hurt. I took Advil, took a bath, but really no go. At 6:20 I decided I would rest my eyes for a few minutes! You can see where this is going. Now I am already a half hour late, and I still need to ride the bus for at least 40 minutes.

There is only one cab company in Rochester that takes credit cards, and they aren't answering their phone!

Somewhat relatedly, probably due to the movie, I always believed office workers worked 9 to 5. Now it seems almost everyone I know works 8 am - 5:00, with a lunch. Did things change or was the movie wrong?

I am also awake. This vacation has kinda sucked for that--I've only slept past 8am one day, and that was until 10--after being up until 1am. We are at the airport, heading to the family wedding.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I work 9-5, which has been the official hours most places I've worked, even though 9-6 was generally more normal in NYC.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, man, I want very badly to take that Science and Cooking class, but I don't think I can.

Every office job I've had has been along the lines of 8:30-5 because of not getting paid for lunch.

If you worked hourly, 9-5, did you only get paid for 37.5 hours?
