Swouncing

Skipping on the other hand of shabbat and internet-connection-problems, in order to apologize for managing to miss two Buffista Calendar events: two days ago, on the 25th, was brenda m's birthday, and yesterday, the 26th, was Fiona's birthday.

Lots of belated wishes for a wonderful year, brenda!

Lots of belated wishes for a wonderful year, Fiona!

And a great almost-even-if-not-exactly-first day of your new age!

And lovely weekends al around, of course.

hip deep in pie

Happy Belated Birthday to Brenda and Fiona!

It's raining here and I am reading about digitisation standards.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Happy belateds!

We had that rain overnight, I guess -- I vaguely remember hearing it.

I really need to see if any of my remaining abandoned vegetables in the fridge are good, and figure out what to do with them.... That's a plan for the day!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I think I shall make a final surge in File All The Things and clean off my desk, which is rather like unto an archaeological expedition. Wish me no dead bodies....

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Happy Belated Birthday Brenda and Fiona!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Happy belated birthdays, brenda and Fiona!

Good luck with the excavation, Theo.

I have bacon/blue cheese/bloody mary muffins in the oven for breakfast. I've got a big day of watching football and shopping for winter clothes ahead of me, so I hope this concoction turns out okay.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Happy Belated Birthdays to brenda and Fiona!

Kate! I keep meaning to tell you that there's an Atomic Books coming to your town! East Nashville, I guess? I'm not sure of all the details but I think we may be coming down sometime this spring to celebrate the opening!

WHAT! That is fantastic news! I live in East Nashville and we are in desperate need of a good bookstore on this side of town. Also, lisah visit!!!

Question for the hivemind: What would be the key components of a Hermione Granger costume? Ideally something cheap/easy to find at Target/Goodwill, though I am willing to also buy a bushy-haired wig if necessary.

Is the Nashville store an inspiration or expansion??

Waking up to driving dance beat from the cancer survivor race down the street was less than ideal, but at least it didn't start that until 8, and my goal was to sleep in until 8:30. Which was semi-achieved, after first waking at 5. Again.

All sorts of interesting pains from planting bulbs. And one really nasty bruise on the inside of my wrist that I can't explain. It's actually a lump, even. You'd think I'd notice doing that!

OK, off to the stores....

Blazer/school uniform, big stack of books, wand, maybe something you could call a time turner?

Wow, I have forgotten the visuals from the Potterverse like whoa.

Wear burgundy and gold for Gryffindor?

I ended up with the worst migraine in quite a while, last night. Took everything I could think of, one by one as they kept not working. Went to bed at 6pm. Not sure what eventually worked, but woke up a little after midnight to realize I felt better and my neighbors were having a party. Fell back asleep, and now it's 7am and I'm awake!

I had been thinking of doing a 5k this morning but now I feel like that would be a bad plan.

T, I want to come eat at your house, it sounds interesting!
