Thrive to spite them

bonny sorry you are having to deal with everything.

I'm celebrating turning 40 today with breakfast and being lazy and rain. I'm not raining but it's raining.

I was supposed to go to the ballet performance, but... I didn't want to. I talked to Mom, she was having second thoughts and said I could claim she wasn't feeling well. So we didn't go.

I feel bad, a little, but it's my birthday and I don't wanna.

However I did go through and get rid of more dvds, honestly Icould get rid of more but I'm not ready too yet.

I also called Dad and texted my brother Happy Father's Day. (My brother doesn't answer calls but he will answer texts).

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Happy birthday, askye! I hope you find 40 to be delightful!

Our wings are not tired.

Happy birthday, askye! Life begins at 40, so they say. I hope that it brings all good things your way.

{{Bonny}} {{smonster}} Sorry about the crazies disrupting your life.

Skip this paragraph to avoid icky medical stuff. My employee who finally after years of argument discussion has finally abandoned her devotion to all that is woo~woo treatment moved to ICU a couple days ago. She was admitted a week ago yesterday. Friday they did a procedure to help recover her collapsed lung and she had a bad reaction to either the anesthesia or antibiotic. Her test results are about as bad as they could be. Stage IV, in her breast, lung, liver. She is so thin they are trying to beef her up before starting chemo. On the plus side she is trying to forgive herself for waiting years too long and is bound and determined to fight. Her family has been wonderful and supportive. Her DH and the kids pretty much sterilized their house in anticipation of her being released. No timeline for that happening. It is so hard to feel optimistic when she waited so long and looks so emaciated.

In happier news, DH's cousin and her long time girlfriend got engaged today per the announcement on FB. They live in the redest of red states so I hope they don't have to wait too long to get married. So far as I know both the families have been nothing but supportive of their relationship and have responded with joy to this news. My wish is that this was the case for all couples, gay and straight. We were enjoying the wrong suggestions that FB was offering for gifts. Cousin thinks you should be able to choose which advertisements are attached to your congratulatory posts.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Didn't mean to hit post.

Laura, that is so sad about your employee. I hope now that she's in treatment, she will improve.

And blessings on the heads of your DH's cousins.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

bonny, what a mess. I'm sorry you had to deal with that.

Laura, I'm so sorry about your employee. Tons of ~ma headed her way. Also, yay for your DH's cousin.

Guests just left. I think brunch was a success. Now it is time to collapse on the couch. TCG's car is in the shop, and he will have mine tomorrow. So, I don't even need to make an excuse about why I can't leave the house tomorrow.

Our wings are not tired.

In world's colliding type stuff our Cashmere and DH's cousin J often post the same links with roller derby stuff which amuses me. So I try and explain to my cousin in Nebraska how I learned about that derby stuff from my friend in Wisconsin. They both show their bruise pictures.

It is also fun when disparate friends will share the same articles on subjects you had no idea were important to them.
