[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Laura,

yeah, I thought I tossed my toothbrushes, but you are probably right that I need to do a flamethrower to all oral products.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I used to get strep pretty much monthly. Tonsils out at 23 sucked for pain and an epically long recup time but I haven't had it once in the nearly 20 years since. Best decision ever.

I Adulted and called my dentist about a suspected cracked tooth and it's just a cracked filling! So we're replacing that in a couple weeks and I don't have to have a tooth pulled which is what I'd been catastrophizing for a while.

I don't have to have a tooth pulled which is what I'd been catastrophizing for a while.

Ever since the Cracked Tooth Incident of 2012, I immediately jump to thinking any tooth issue is a cracked tooth that will have to be pulled. So I feel you.

(Has that fear led to me flossing every night? No, because I do not learn.)

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

It was supposed to rain today. So, mom still came to take me to my iron infusion. In the 20 minutes that it took us to drive from the hospital to my house, 2 inches of snow has fallen. She may end up as an overnight guest if it doesn't stop soon.

I had a chip filed on this one last May. But since it's the filling that is falling apart, I'm not surprised I had trouble with it again. Relieved it's way easier to fix and I keep the tooth.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

We had six inches of snow here last week and today I have all the windows open. And in another week and half they're talking about another round of snow. I think I'll just toss every article of clothing that I own on the floor in the spare bedroom and pick from there with the aid of weather.com and a Ouija board every morning, because clearly seasonal rotation of my closets is not an effective habit.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Aw Glamcookie, what a mess!

I had a similar circumstance when I was a kid. Three families, (two single moms, one married couple) and eight daughters between them. My mom was the one who didn't have an affair with the married dad. We were older than y'alls kids so a lot more aware (I'd think) of how messed up it was.

My take-away is that some people are so selfish and entitled and oblivious that they'll do whatever they darn well please and expect everyone else to be happy for them. Whether they have innies or outies seems to be immaterial.

Yeah, we got 5 inches Friday, and today it's 50, so I walked the dog. Although that was a bit short-sighted of me; I assumed that, because the sidewalks on our end of the street were finally clear, ALL the sidewalks all the way up to the school would be clear. Not so much. So we walked in the street a lot, which is fine, because we're a side street with not a ton of traffic. But it was messy, and by the time we got back, when I dried off Kato's feet, his back legs were shaking. So he got his usual post-walk treat of a dog biscuit along with an extra "treat" of an anti-inflammatory pill in some peanut butter.

And now I am eating split pea soup, which is my new soup BFF.
