Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I still recommend asking for Diflucan (generic name: fluconazole), especially because a second round of antibiotics can whammy the hell out of you. Your flora may barely be hanging on after the penicillin, and then a second antibiotic could come in there like napalm. And nobody wants a flamey hoo-hah.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Girl, thanks for the reminder I will ask.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Plot thickens. The PA does not think it is strep throat. Yay? I just have a virus? WTF?

Boo, so much easier to just take antibiotics, but if it's a virus that won't help. How frustrating.

Glam, I hear ya, girl. Damn, dykes be all drama.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

It's getting cultured, right? Because if you've already gone one round of antibiotics, you kinda want to be sure. I hope you find some relief.

Angry because irrational as it may be, we feel like it reflects badly on us as a lesbian-led family.

I think it's just more evidence of marriage equality.

I think it's both. It's not fair or rational but people (wrong people) will see it as a reflection on why we shouldn't have marriage equality. Without realizing that there are het marriages being blown apart exactly the same way and that, sadly, people making bad decisions is proof of how all families and marriages are kinda the same. Even the bad parts. But people suck and eventually I think we'll view marriage equality like old (not that old, really) anti-miscegenation laws. Yes, some people still do believe that but we - as a society - know that they are wrong. I just want us to get there sooner rather than later.

Also, damn. Maybe shots after the kids go to bed.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Cass, no culture.

(no class!)

anyway, he sent me home and called in a prescription to take (if I need it.) WTF. He said to take it if I feel worse. I need to see my regular doc.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Feel better soon, le_n!

Ok, here's random lesbian amusing: a while back I emailed a bit with someone on OKCupid who was supposedly a 99% match! who lived in Austin. I figured she probably knew friends of mine (there's only so many gays there) but didn't ask, we didn't email that long.

A few months ago, a friend from Austin emailed me and was all "hey, you should meet my gf, she's going to be in Seattle and you two should hang out!" And I was like "sure" but never heard more.

Tonight I was back on okcupid, saw the old emails and looked at the picture and was like "wait a second...." Yep, it's my friend's girlfriend. Well, maybe that's why I never heard more about her being in Seattle! Hah. Small world indeed.

Our wings are not tired.

In other news my strep throat has fucking come back.

I am the only one in my family that doesn't get strep. The rest of them get it. When I told one of my doctor friends this she said that I probably was a carrier. That not everyone gets symptoms. Also, she said that it was essential that a couple days after starting the antibiotics that everyone in the house toss their toothbrushes. She said the next time they get it that I need to be cultured too.

I asked about maybe storing the active toothbrushes in a bit of alcohol and mouthwash or something and she said that might be helpful. She may have been humoring me by this point in the convo.

eta: That is indeed amusing, meara. Wouldn't you have enjoyed seeing the looks and/or discussions there. Also, what a wimp, I don't see any reason why she shouldn't meet you if she is involved with your friend now. What, you are going to try and steal her away? To Seattle?
