Jayne: Captain, can you stop her from bein' cheerful, please? Mal: I don't believe there is a power in the 'verse that can stop Kaylee from being cheerful. Sometimes you just wanna duct tape her mouth and dump her in the hold for a month.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Update re: ladyparts, antibiotics, and your recommendations of treatment. TMI to follow in white font, but TL; DR: garlic was a BUST; communication problems with the doctor led me not to be able to try out Diflucan. Trader Joe's probiotic yogurt and CVS probiotic tablet were A++++

So, I decided, let me try askye's garlic tampon method. Tried it twice (1x one day; 1x another day). Nada. No reduction in symptoms. But I had a mean craving for garlic break.

Tried Trader Joe's yogurt + 1 CVS tablet. Did both each day and after 2-3 days, marked reduction in symptoms after 5 days, I felt great!

So, in the future, the TJ yogurt + CVS will be my way to go.

brillig

Is the yogurt an internal or external treatment?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I ate it! One a day.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

If there is any extra calm~ma, I'll happily take it. I've been crying on and off most of the day because I'm so nervous about tomorrow. I haven't even been able to eat all the things. The anesthesia part is what makes me nervous, which I didn't have last time, and just being in the hospital in general.

That which does not kill you should RUN

sj, do you have anything mindless and soothing to watch? Would that help at all?

I'm trying to think of thing I do to try and self-soothe, and a lot of it is TV. Or I go on Instagram and search hastags. Like #sunset. Or #beach. Or -- don't laugh -- #capybara. Really. I love their little faces! They're so serene.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Calmness and soothing ~ma!

I baked my morning oatmeal with coconut oil and chocolate chips this morning and think I'm gonna have to make it again for dinner/dessert. Con: 20 minute wait plus cooking time Pro: warm gooey chocolates oatmealey goodness. I even forgot to add honey before cooking and it was still amazing with a little honey drizzled on top afterwards.

Coconut oil in oatmeal is AMAZEBALLS. I thank whatever random impulse made me try it the other morning. And it fills me up for a lot longer than non-coconut-oil oatmeal does. Because, okay, oatmeal is BIG-TIME fiber, right? Should be filling. And it is, but then I'm hungry -- starving, really -- within 90 minutes or less. Even when I put protein powder in it, I'm still hungry again really quickly.

But as soon as I put coconut oil in it, I was full for hours. Magic! Tasty magic!

Maybe I'll do cocoa powder tomorrow. Yum!

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

calm-ma, sj. If it helps, my mother was under anesthesia for almost 6 hours and did just fine.
