Out. For. A. Walk. ... Bitch.

Spike ,'Selfless'

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

calm-ma, sj. If it helps, my mother was under anesthesia for almost 6 hours and did just fine.

Our wings are not tired.

I was under for the foot surgery and I was very concerned before. But after I was amazed that I had no clue and felt completely normal. Like a miracle of science and stuff.

Much love and calm~ma headed your way.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I've been under anesthesia before. So logically I know it isn't a big deal, but I'm not really using the logical part of my brain right now.

Teppy, yeah I've been doing comfort TV all day. And now I'm going to attempt sleep.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Overheard at work today (on the 911 line, no less): "so a big dog is mounting a little dog and you think police need to come protect the little dog? Um.....where are the dogs owners? Have you talked to them? They're laughing and not pulling the dogs apart? Um......" Just an overly concerned passerby.

Also, a business wanting the fire department to come shovel their parking lot. "They're all so big and strong and they hardly ever have actual fires to fight....it would give them something to do." Methinks the fire fighters might disagree, but she did kinda have a point. Still not a chance.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Was there anything said in the meeting which you can learn/change from? Since you can't change your bosses and their lack of leadership, was there anything you can use to help improve your own work? That's usually the only benefit to be gained from a situation like this, sadly.

You really can't change bosses or lack of leadership. But you can figure out what matters to the people you can't change. Scrappy is, as usual, wise.

Everything is ad hoc, chaotic, confused. Boss wasn't thinking things through enough to procure key this weekend.

Awww, we work at the same place. I am sorry.

Calmness and soothing ~ma, sj.

I never think of capybaras without thinking that we're responsible for their tragic drinking problem.

(I love capybaras and they make me smile.)

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I never thought about capybaras as soothing before, but I totally see it now. Those round muzzles are very harmonious.

May the capybaras soothe you, sj, or some other harmonious creature.
