Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Work is being ornerous today.

Is this a combination of onerous and ornery? Perfect.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Happy WindSparrow day! And Connie, I'm sure stuff went well with your DH and hope you hear about it soon.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

My onerous task was one I consider an honor rather than truly onerous. When I talked to Daniel's mom today she was talking about how hard it has been for her since her grandson Alex died. I gave her my best "of course you feel shitty, a shitty thing happened to you and yes you should totally talk to me about this because I love you and want to be there for you".

The real onerous task I have is to call MY mom, but I'm just not up to that today.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I made my PCP appointment and dealt with a rejection email (not that I had a real choice to do that, but it felt onerous).

I have discovered that my sweet Marley's expensive medical tests have shown he is in perfect health, which is great news, but still leaves us stymied about why his appetite has decreased dramatically.

Any ideas? we've changed foods, washed bowls, tried to feed him in different places (he and Taz have to eat separately or Taz eats both meals, he's been in the office with the door shut for the past 3+ years.) He WILL eat bits of kibble I place on the ground in front of him, 2 or 3 pieces at a time.

At this point, I'm going to try serving his kibble on a flat plate, and then try other food.

I just feel like he's trying to tell us something, and I just can't figure out what! All other behaviors and digestive function are totally normal.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Could it be a dental issue?

brillig

Hubby's home and sending me odd emails, so that's good. And he's done for the week. And the next two weeks.

Nope, the vet looked at his teeth quite thoroughly, pronounced them as awesome and perfect.

Glad Hubby's home and won't have to go back for a little bit.

Thinking of you both.

Happy birthday, beautiful Windsparrow!
