As per usual, this is the last thing in the world I have time for! My mom is in the hospital. The brain fog is the worst because I normally have to handle so many things. All reports are that my son Bobby was paramedic extraordinaire. Mostly I have huge guilt for putting him and DH through such a rough experience.
I've been reading that an Atkins type diet is supposed to be beneficial. I just really don't want to take drugs. With only having the one seizure I'm thinking I can hold off on medication and try some less offensive measures first.
Oh Laura, how scary! I'm so glad that you're okay, if a bit foggy. Please please please let go of the worries about burdening your family. Sounds like you need to shift some of your burdens onto others for a while.
Much ~ma to both of you, Connie and Laura.
Oh Laura, I'm so glad you're ok!
The ketogenic diet is pretty intense, and decidedly not pescetarian. It might be an additional stress -- and an unnecessary one if this was a one-off seizure (which, I understand, do happen).
Blah blah I'll stop now.
Feel better. It's ok for your family to worry about you. It is really really REALLY ok. You are not a burden, you are a member of a family. It's part of the package.
Oh my god, Laura! My hand flew to my mouth and my eyes were so wide they hurt...how awful for you!
Thank goodness you were well cared for, but...oh my god.
I don't know anything at all about seizures. May this be a total one-off.
Brain~ma, Laura. There are no easy answers for this one, but I hope that you find the answers that work for you with a minimum of fuss and bother.
Connie, I echo what has been said up thread. We are here for you, in all ways you need it. Vent. Be...whatever. We will be strong for you. And tons of health~ma for hubby.
Laura, that is scary. But wipe that guilt away. Shit happens. That's what family and friends are for. It's not like you saw the seizure valve, and leaned on it by accident. In the mean time, take it easy for a bit. Listen to the doctors. Don't rack your brain with too many "what if's..." Don't fall down any rabbit holes on the internet, looking up things. And let's hope it's a crazy one time event. Relax. Let the fuzzy dissipate. Then slowly ramp up,back into life... But maybe, not full throttle. I think you have a great excuse now.
Laura,
goodness. I am glad you are okay right now.
Oh, dear, too much bad stuff today. Laura and Connie, much ~ma for both of you and for Connie's Hubby. Echoing what everyone else has said. Laura, it's good to hear that Bobby stepped up when you needed him!
