I skipped my senior year of high school and so have no diploma. I have never been asked for one. A GED is a high school diploma. You can say with perfect honesty that you're a high school graduate, and no one will ever ask you for the piece of paper. What you do have is references from all the theater jobs you have done very well indeed, and all employers really want is some assurance that you know how to show up and work.
Spike ,'Potential'
Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

That's got to be true. I'm sure it is. Identity can be such a tricky thing sometimes.
Identity is fraught but most of the fraught is inside our own heads. Not all of it. But a lot.
erika, a new Changing Hands would be awesome! I loved that place.
At the same time, it's extremely difficult not to think that I was probably the only candidate for the Annenberg job, or the aquarium job, or any of the other full time positions I've applied for, who doesn't list anything college associated on their resume, and that between two otherwise equally appealing candidates, I lose because of that.
Cass, wrod. I miss Tempe sometimes. For it and for falafel places.
Sean, sorry to hear about your crappy day. Omnis gives really excellent advice, fwiw. I also think it would be really good for you to do some practice interviews with those of us who hire people in our own line of work--ND, me, BC, and more--we can practice with you and give you feedback about how to answer some of the common questions, how to answer the education question without shame, and what to avoid. Practice will make it more comfortable, even if you are just applying for a retail job. No pressure--just want to offer if you think it would be helpful. Localistas could do in person interviewing, but you could practice phone interviews or Skype with anyone from the board.
So Hubby's been having bad gut pains for a long time and has been pushing his doctors to find out what's going on. He had a PET scan on Monday, and he talked to our doctor today for the results. He's off gaming at the moment, so I don't know what he found out. But there's a piece of paper on the bed with a phone number and the word Oncology.
Perhaps it's just more tests. Perhaps it's just double checking. Perhaps all the frequent radioactive tests he's been getting over the years have caught up with him. Perhaps.
Health ~ma for your Hubby, Connie, no matter what it is.
much ~ma, Connie.
oh Connie. Couldn't he have left you with a note!?! Gads!
good vibes and ma, regardless.
