Joyce: Dawn, you be good. Xander: We will. Just gonna play with some matches, run with scissors, take candy from some guy, I don't know his name.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

That sounds very similar to what happened with Jeeves a couple of years back when he pulled/wrenched his hip. A steroid shot from the vet helped immensely. Also, I put boxes/step stools/etc. by the places he most liked to jump so he wouldn't aggravate things further.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Turns out it wasn't an injury at all. White fonting for ick: One of her anal glands had gotten impacted and the stuff had solidified into a mass, causing an abcess. They removed it (said it was awesomely gross) and gave her ABs and pain meds and a cone of shame.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Glad Bella's all right!

I need advice from the vintage-fabric lovers. I bought a vintage travel case that's lined in fabric, all in very good condition, but it stinks. I think it's the same awful Emeraude my mom used to wear, and now the whole downstairs smells of old-lady perfume. I'm afraid if I set it outside it'll get bugs in it, and I'll never get them out of the pockets and folds of this fabric lining. How do I get this smell out of the fabric?

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Cheap vodka mixed with water (I think a 1:4 ratio) in a spray bottle. Mist the inside of travel case, let it dry, mist it again.

Vodka! I have some of that. Thanks, Jilli!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I got a flu shot yesterday, and I'm still feeling kind of blah from it. My doctor recommended that I get a pneumonia shot, too, so I'm looking into that one. I am hoping that I can, for once, get through a winter without needing antibiotics or steroids.

The status is NOT quo.

The pneumonia shot hurts like a bitch. So much better than actually having pneumonia, though. I got it the year after I was hospitalized for that nasty pneumonia case.

Healing vibes for poor Bella.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Poor Bella. But I am glad it was nothing worse.
