Glad Bella's all right!
I need advice from the vintage-fabric lovers. I bought a vintage travel case that's lined in fabric, all in very good condition, but it stinks. I think it's the same awful Emeraude my mom used to wear, and now the whole downstairs smells of old-lady perfume. I'm afraid if I set it outside it'll get bugs in it, and I'll never get them out of the pockets and folds of this fabric lining. How do I get this smell out of the fabric?
Cheap vodka mixed with water (I think a 1:4 ratio) in a spray bottle. Mist the inside of travel case, let it dry, mist it again.
Vodka is apparently the miracle booze.
Is Mythbusters online anywhere?
The Discovery Channel has some episodes up. [link]
Vodka! I have some of that. Thanks, Jilli!
I got a flu shot yesterday, and I'm still feeling kind of blah from it. My doctor recommended that I get a pneumonia shot, too, so I'm looking into that one. I am hoping that I can, for once, get through a winter without needing antibiotics or steroids.
The pneumonia shot hurts like a bitch. So much better than actually having pneumonia, though. I got it the year after I was hospitalized for that nasty pneumonia case.
Healing vibes for poor Bella.
Poor Bella. But I am glad it was nothing worse.
Poor Bella kitty. May her stay in the cone of shame be short.
Teppy, thanks so much for sharing those beautiful pictures. I'm still smiling after looking at every single one.
You're welcome! Our photographer did a great job. (Seriously she gave us 1200 pictures, although many were B/W versions of color photos, but it was still probably 800+ unique photos.)
Crap! Meant to say also how beautiful your pics are, Tep. Just wonderful.
