There's a place in the special hell for people who tell you after you've spent a lot on something that you could have done it cheaper.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
They might have their own circle. But it's marked down.
On crutches again today. I could have managed without them if I wasn't doing too much walking, but my classrooms are spread out all over campus, and I don't think I can manage to get to all of them without some sort of support. I also ordered one of those rolling walkers, because those really give me much better support than the crutches, and they let me carry stuff. And I paid an extra $80 to get the purple one, because if I'm going to be using a walker, then damn it, it's going to be a pretty purple one.
Damn right. I hope it helps
Go team purple walker!
It's like Karen Walker but less boozy. You should name it Karen!
I have a friend who has about a dozen different colored canes and accessorizes with them. Very jaunty.
I kind of wanted the cane with the flames painted on it like Dr. House has, but I looked into it, and they don't make it in my size. I even found a company that sells them that will custom-size the canes by cutting a few inches off the bottom if needed, but they said that, for that one, the amount they'd need to cut off would cut off most of the design. So I went with plain black.
That feels like an art project just waiting for a rainy day.
I always like House's dress cane, the black one with the silver handle.
Fuck, "I'd tell you a UDP joke but you might not get it" is the hardest I've tried not to laugh at in a long time (short version: if you don't understand it, it's totally not worth asking), and I just submitted it for the "funniest joke" requested by our CIO. Even in IT, it's got a small audience.
This is the only cane I have left from the collection I started when I had knee nerve damage. Katrina got the less practical ones. But it goes well enough with just about everything, and I like that sort of handle for about two or three hours worth of on and off use. Frankly, I don't think I'm up for much more with this injury, so no need for a better cane. Now. Hopefully ever.
