Well our Mother's Day ended with my mother falling in the parking lot of the ice cream shop. I don't think she broke anything, but she scraped up her knee pretty badly.
Ugh, I'm sorry. When my dad and grandma would fall it was horrifying.
Another person I know here in New Orleans was shot today. I am not doing so good.

In tangentially related news, I am thinking about mentoring a kid; there are some programs locally. Not sure I'm ready for that responsibility, but it seems one of the best ways to make some small difference.
