Lorne: Back in Pylea they used to call me "sweet potato." Connor: Really. Lorne: Yeah, well, the exact translation was "fragrant tuber" but…

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I made it through the day. Hurting a lot, and I know that my teaching was kind of crap. Now, dinner and then meds. (I've learned that one from experience -- don't operate a stove while on pain meds.) I wish there was a restaurant around here that would deliver vegan food, but the only place that delivers out here is pizza.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Thrive to spite them

Steph is there any one (or maybe 2 people who can swap places) you can designate "wedding cordinator" for the time when the tour is going to take place.

A clip board with Wedding Coordinator written on it and...I don't know papers with notes to consulate so the person(s) can patrol and make sure cupcakes aren't getting eaten and things are moving as planned.

I know it's really last minute to ask someone to do that but it might help just during 2-4.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Dag, Tep. That is so some thing that you did not need this close to the date! I'm glad you are satisfied with their response and hopefully that's IT for big stress!!

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I think you may get the volunteers more easily if the job title is "cupcake protector".

Cupcakes sound good.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think you may get the volunteers more easily if the job title is "cupcake protector".

(a shield with a protector logo is *best*, but a crest on a patch is fine)

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I cannot offer shields or crests (my DIY for this wedding is limited to making my bouquet and the photo jar centerpieces, which I am attempting tonight for the THIRD time [I am not so good at DIY, which is why I only undertook 2 projects (unless writing a snarky program counts; if it does, then 3 projects)])*, but based on reports from my mom and stepdad, who were in charge of buying the booze, I'll be able to offer a brave volunteer his or her very own bottle of champagne. Or two.

*(My god, how I love my nested parentheticals [which is a hard word to type (and say)]).

FTW.

Sorry for the stress, Steph and smonster.

Hil, you're a hero.

Me, I had a night of crappy sleep. Went to bed at a reasonable time, but I stayed at a friend's place whose couch is in a room which faces the street, with no real option to close the windows. I'm used to a certain amount of background noise, but this Not A Main Street did a pretty good impression of a main street during the night. Woke up at least 6-7 times.

(Hi, did I use "whose" and "which" right ? I'm still kind of sleepy, but would like to know).

Our wings are not tired.

Hi Shir, yes, you used both correctly. Sorry about the poor sleep!
