Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

My sistah in jitters.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Of course, I don't know what the alternative is when I actually have to drive and be places.

Ha. Yeah. It's somewhat my fault that I went to bed so late last night, but still.

I'm about to go take all my change to CoinStar so I have grocery money for the next week. Yep, it's like that.

Last night it was just tossing and turning because there was a huge storm and all my joints were aching, but I have been guilty of just going to bed late too.

Xposting from facebook - I'm looking at insurance plans again, since COBRA is spendy and going to run out in a few months (before Obamacare fully kicks in). Anyone have advice, an individual plan they like, experience with a high-deductible HSA? I'd like to pay between $100-200/month and I need outpatient mental health care if at all possible.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Thank you all for the condolences. I'm feeling as much relieved as I am sad - the poor little guy had a rough couple of days at the end.

Still, I got a bit weepy this afternoon when I came home, and my little buddy wasn't at the door meowing in impatience, waiting for me to come in. I also still need to deal with all of the cat parephenalia (beds, toys, etc.) that are around the house.

Oh, Anne, that is so hard.

Well, I said (on fb) that I wanted a conversation about money! Boy did I fucking get one. It's still going, ninety-eight comments and counting. My friend N, who's backing the optimistic libertarian point of view, has suggested to me in a private conversation that I look into property management as a way to make extra money. ::sigh::

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I was just about to comment here that I want to throttle N. He sounds very much like the type of person who thinks it's super easy to get a home run...and ignores the part where he was born on third base, while other people don't even have a damn baseball bat. t /metaphors R us

In memememe news, I found out today that the publisher who wants to buy us has indeed signed a letter of intent. Which is still not a done deal, but damn close. That info isn't company-wide knowledge, but I believe we have another meeting tomorrow where everyone will officially find out.

I still have no idea of a timeline, as in, when the deal will be official, and how long after that we have to wrap things up.

I'm freaked out HARD.

Yeah, he's got some serious Straight White Male privilege blinders on. I'm kind of flabbergasted because he is the nicest, most mild-mannered guy ever. Like, really. Kind and gentle and fairly intelligent. And, at least when I knew him, very passionate about the environment!

Hit post too soon. Oy, Steph. Sorry for all the work stress. I hope this all results in a much better job for you, but I know that does nothing to reduce the current worry.
