Buffy: Dancing with you is way better than trying to hook up with some good-looking guy. Xander: I think I liked it more when you were kicking me in my puffy groin.

'Get It Done'

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I was just about to comment here that I want to throttle N. He sounds very much like the type of person who thinks it's super easy to get a home run...and ignores the part where he was born on third base, while other people don't even have a damn baseball bat. t /metaphors R us

In memememe news, I found out today that the publisher who wants to buy us has indeed signed a letter of intent. Which is still not a done deal, but damn close. That info isn't company-wide knowledge, but I believe we have another meeting tomorrow where everyone will officially find out.

I still have no idea of a timeline, as in, when the deal will be official, and how long after that we have to wrap things up.

I'm freaked out HARD.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Yeah, he's got some serious Straight White Male privilege blinders on. I'm kind of flabbergasted because he is the nicest, most mild-mannered guy ever. Like, really. Kind and gentle and fairly intelligent. And, at least when I knew him, very passionate about the environment!

Hit post too soon. Oy, Steph. Sorry for all the work stress. I hope this all results in a much better job for you, but I know that does nothing to reduce the current worry.

Well, I do definitely recognize that this scenario is the best option, because a sale will allow Big!Boss to offer us some kind of severance, whereas if the company went bankrupt, we'd all be shafted. (I don't actually know that we'll get severance, but I have every reason to believe we will.) And we'll get unemployment. So things are better than they could be, but still terrifying.

And I may be getting courthouse-married soon.

Our wings are not tired.

Tep, I know it's the last thing you want to hear, but my spidey sense tells me that this is going to result in an awesome outcome for you; maybe not immediately, but definitely near term!

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Tep,

man. this is a lot to take in. You know, buffistas and friends of ours have had a very nice day getting married in a courthouse and having a reception/party afterward.

information libertarian

If you need a witness for a secret courthouse wedding, I work downtown. Just sayin'. (I have actually been a witness for a downtown courthouse wedding once!)

Also, if you get married at the courthouse, be sure to get your receipt, and take a picture, like amych.

Oh, and A, the other main participant in this discussion, I barely know. Met her once at the last bellydance workshop I took (she wasn't taking it, but was part of the dance community there). She makes super cool jewelry, if you want to help her pay off her crushing student loan debt (but you'll have to check back in August - [link]

I'm actually on a desktop computer for once, instead of reading on my phone.

So, LAURA, I am SO glad you and B sold that boat. Your charming husband takes the cake! Hope it leads to a bit less stress.

Julie, I've been reading your saga for a while now and am glad it's resolved, even though you've got a couple of weeks of being inconvenienced in front of you. After that - voila! I'm glad it won't be haunting you any more.

We'll still have the shindig in September, but I have a feeling I'm going to need to be on Tim's insurance before then.

Oooh! That would be awesome!

Heck yeah! I'ma frame that sucker!
