Those are SO CUTE, Steph. Also with you on the hating that feeling of sliding to the front of the shoe on every step. I'll be waiting to hear back on the comfort level - I'm in the same boat as you with the not-being-able-to-deal-with-high-heels anymore, and I love maryjanes to an unholy degree.
'Safe'
Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Part of why I love Mary Janes is that the strap holds the shoe on my foot. Lots of pumps don't fit my foot very well (hello, my width is a 2E when I can find it), so they'll go flap flap flap off my heel when I walk. But the Mary Jane strap keeps it more snug.
And they're cute as hell.
We did not get the CU loan.
Oh Pix!
What!!??!! Oh no!!!!
Oh no, Pix! Shit.
Yeah. The loan officer was really nice and said that it's a good, profitable business with regular cash flow, but since we don't have any collateral to speak of, the underwriters nixed it. He said the CU's underwriters are vey conservative and is going to give ND the names of other local SBA providers who he thinks might fund us. But it means starting over again and hoping we have kept things tight enough these last few weeks to get through six weeks of our biggest payrolls of the year since I doubt anything could happen fast enough to help when we need it.
I'm disheartened but trying to stay positive.
Oh, what the HELL. Fingers crossed the other SBA providers are less conservative.
What Tep said.
Thanks, all. On the positive side, at least this rejection took nine days instead of nine months.
