[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Omnis, I have no suggestions, but could use some non-scary adrenalin myself today--for some reason, even though I went to bed at a decent hour, I could NOT get up this morning, and still am not feeling very awake/alert. But I did manage to get one of the two big things off my desk today (even if not the multitude of smaller things).

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Seriously, y'all. I was HOW old before I even knew there was an order?

But then I get all obsessive about it and can't decide and end up like Willow in Fear Itself with the witch lights buzzing all around her head.

Made it through the day, more or less. Can't decide if I want to drink, smoke, fight, fuck, dance or sleep. You know?

Thrive to spite them

I've quiet a bit. Aimee I hope everything gets worked out for you.

bonny sorry about the experience and ass hat ex friend.

I will have a new place to live in September. It's not final, final, but it should be final on September 4 and then I'll move around the 9 or 10th. My new place is going to be on Hemlock Lane and that amuses me immensely.

Work is good expect I made a dumb error with my direct deposit so I didn't get paid today. I have to wait for a paper check next week. And then I can correct my direct deposit mistake.

Our wings are not tired.

Can't decide if I want to drink, smoke, fight, fuck, dance or sleep. You know?

The challenge is figuring out the proper sequence.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

One I quit a long time ago, by choice. One elludes me on a semi-regular basis. One hasn't found me in too long a time, damnit. One I choose to do in small doses. And the last, well, I'm not much for fighting. Not that it helps you any.

Always Anti-fascist!

I fight all the time. Not by choice.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Well, I estimate that I have put in about 7 solid hours of yard sale prep and moving clean out today. Yard sale tomorrow and Saturday. I am too old for this shit, but we need to get rid of this shit and we need the money so work my ass off I shall.

The Small Girl is holding her own "sale" of lemonade and coffee. I bought her the teeny little creamer cups and a sugar shaker and some mini-donuts and M&M cookies to serve alongside. So cute. She sorted all of her stuff into bins for $1, 50 cents, and 25 cents. I'm really proud of how much she has worked, too. In being serious about her purging and her excitement about the sale tomorrow. Hopefully, she won't fade off by noon.

I need to make lemonade so it's cold for tomorrow.

Aims, go you! And go Em! I hope the sale goes really well tomorrow.

I thought I might have a stomach bug today, but now I seem to be feeling better. So, I'm hoping it was just too much fried food on vacation. G was also having stomach upset when we were out today, but the upset over the mean kids seems to have dissipated a bit, and he is excited about starting kindergarten again.

Bonny, how are you feeling tonight?

Smonster, I hope you're doing better tonight as well.

Yay, Askye!

I still haven't figured out the order to getting things done. H mentioned that she almost showed up a half hour early today, and I told her she would have found me running around frantically trying to get dressed. It was the first day back from vacation, and, of course, I haven't unpacked yet. So I was all where are my clothes? Where are my vitamins? Where is my shampoo? Instead of getting everything together in a orderly fashion before I needed to get ready.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

We live a damn charmed life. Power went out at 5:40 today. This is, of course, August 15 in the Ohio River valley, otherwise known as Hot As Hell And Twice As Humid.

Except it never even got out of the 70s, and basically no humidity. Perfect weather to lose power and not have a/c.

I had a quiche in the oven when the power went out, and there were about 10 minutes to go (we have an electric stove). I figure, when you turn an oven off, it doesn't go from 350 to ICE COLD in 10 seconds, so I left the quiche in for about 15 minutes and hoped for the best.

It baked all the way through.

This way we didn't need to open the fridge or freezer to dig out dinner, and we wouldn't have been able to cook anything anyway.

So we ate dinner on the front porch and talked to the neighbors for a while. Tim really wanted hot coffee, so he pulled out his camp stove and and reheated leftover coffee in the backyard, while I spun glow poi (interspersed with whacking myself painfully in the face with the glow poi).

Most of the websites I've seen have said food will keep in a fridge without power for 4 hours, as long as you don't open it. We didn't open it.

The power came back on literally exactly 4 hours after it went out. We live a damn charmed life.
