I was hoping TCG would have a snow day today, but the snow hadn't started yet when he left for work.
ND, it's obvious you're very good at your job. Not an imposter.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Boo hiss at imposter syndrome.
What Beverly and Laura said. Also, shit, if YOU have imposter syndrome,…
What they said, ND! Don't listen to the mean voices.
I'm at a business conference. It's boring, except for the part where people wanted me to do a thing I don't have the authority to do. I told my manager I'm doing it anyway, because it's common sense, and he caved immediately and yeah okay you're right do that. Man, that should happen more often.
Document everything, Zen!

Seriously. Competence fairly oozes out of you. Sucks how our own brains can screw with us.

Wow, you're right, that is an uncommon, but undoubtedly gratifying, result.
My boss just called me into her office, and I, in a mini-panic, comply, thinking of the amount of time I'm losing because of my mom's care and being "spoken to" about internet use during working hours, etc. The panic was only mini mostly because I'm too wrung out for full-blown. Guess it showed on my face, because after she asked me to close the door, she looks at me and says, "It's nothing bad." She hands me a sheet of paper with this year's raise, and it's almost 7%, which is more than twice what I've seen in...probably ever. It's marked 3% merit increase and 3.9% pay adjustment. I said something about not seeing a COLA in a decade or more, and she said it was actually because she felt that I was being underpaid, and that she and HR fought for it. Which is pretty gratifying, since, as I said, internet time, Mom care, etc. (I have been wondering whether I should be looking around to see whether I could be making more $, but thanks to inertia and exhaustion, I didn't have the energy to spare. Guess I'll let inertia win for a little while longer, since they're at least trying to retain me).
I feel like there was something else, but I can't think what it was. Oh well. Just know that though I've been even darker than usual (trying to be better about internet usage), I still follow along, and love and value the heck out of alla y'all.
Epic, talk about gratifying! That's wonderful.
Congrats Epic!
I've had two MINOR boosts - one was having made a quick response to someone with a request for information, she started off her reply with *impressed* in bold. The other was a woman who told me I'd left the clearest and most coherent voicemail message she'd heard.
So ... minor, but still gratifying.
Congratulations, Epic!

Seriously, we have to savor these moments as being too few and far between.
