'Objects In Space'

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Always Anti-fascist!

He's not normal, is what. Seriously, I quit watching Dexter because Dexter's impression of a human being reminded me of how my dad acts. Although I should say that he's not violent, and would probably seem like a fun guy if you met him on the right day. But he is just acting like he has feelings for the most part. But somehow the people on those Very Special Episodes never let it bother them repeatedly, like it bothers me. I mean, sometimes I'm sad that my dad was apparently born without a lot of the things that make us human, but that is either on a "good day" for him or when we have not talked in a while. Dealing with him, especially since he and stepmonster had their science-project baby(who now is a teen that reminds me of Connor, if Connor liked to get stoned and be *really* stupid about doing it.) just makes me feel cheated and angry. And you can't hurt someone who, near as you can tell, has no feelings...

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I have some recent family dramas I keep almost posting here (it concerns Canberra family), but for now I'd like to ask if people could keep Biyi's mother in mind. She has a persistent sore or such like on her lip, going on over six months now. She's a cancer survivor, and has started worrying about this thing. Biopsy is scheduled for tomorrow. She's talking about returning to China for treatment (she's a retired dentist, which in China covers other forms of oral surgery, so she has relevant professional links to access treatment). Ryan's got wind of this and is now worrying about if his grandparents will be leaving. At this stage it's all anxiety and no concrete information so we're just hoping the diagnosis is something simple.

The status is NOT quo.

So much ~ma for Biyi's mother.

In addition to the ongoing evil of BoA regarding the never-ending, yet somehow EXPENSIVE, loan, this month they deposited last month's rent check again and therefore bounced this month's rent check.

After almost an hour on the phone, they will fix it, but what a clusterfuck. I cannot wait to run far, far away from them.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

In college when I barely had two nickels to rub together, I wrote a check to citibank for $6.50 (which was the balance of my credit card bill. I think I may have had $100 in my checking account at the time (if that).

the bank paid it out as $650.00. I had written several small checks (to my university, the grocery store, etc.) and they all bounced. of course they ran the check through a 2nd time (because apparently that is customary) and the checks bounced twice.

Each bounced check was a $25 fee.

So, my checking account was at -$1000 very very quickly. I made the bank write apology letters to all places where my check bounced, etc. but it took like 2-3 weeks for all of this to be resolved and my parents had to send me some emergency $$ so I could survive.

I am completely paranoid about banks and at 20 I had already learned this lesson.
