My ear likes is too. Not An Editor!
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Hmmmm. Well, so far the professor hasn't dinged me on grammar issues and there are arguments for both sides, so I think I'll run with is.
Thank you. Four pages of twelve done.
Go Suzi Go!
You're modifying multitude (is), not data (are).
I'm at 8 pages or 2/3rd done.
It is SLOW going due to the need to research and cite corroborating peer reviewed articles. Thankfully I have a student PMI membership and can access their library in addition to the school library.
I have 5 hours to do at least 4 more pages. Ok, 4.5 so I can take a dinner break. I'm also trying to take a 5 minute internet break and a 5 minute leave my desk break each hour.
Data is vs. data are is a perennial debate, at least when I've used it. The scientists like "data are"...well, the editors who edit the scientists like making it plural. But it's really a tossup.
Go Suzi! Write, write like the wind!
Well, it is done and submitted. It isn't great. I had to shortcut a few sections and I still ended up submitting it an hour late. My own damn fault.
I'll be ecstatic if I get 237/315. That would still leave me with an A. But at worst I need 137/315 in order to not have to retake the class.
And now I'm WIDE AWAKE. I just took my nighttime meds. I hope they kick in soon.
Yay Suzi! I hope you were sound asleep shortly after posting. I certainly was!
I gave up on Golden Globe watching about 9:30 my time so I will watch the rest during the day some time. As soon as I caught up with the buffer I went to bed because I can't watch commercials.
In oh what a sweet kid I have news, last night when he came in from work about 8:30 or so he had a couple wrapped half subs and asked if anyone wanted one. (he works at an awesome deli) When he closes he makes sandwiches out of whatever is left and gives them to homeless he passes on the way home, but there wasn't anyone out there that he passed last night. I didn't know he did this.
Laura, that is beautiful.
Suzi, I'm glad you got the paper done.
