[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I'm about halfway through an article ... and I don't want to do it. I'm not especially interested in it, it's something that there's not much original to say about it, and I'd really rather go online and ... well, natter with the Buffistas, watch kitten videos, read news ... pretty much anything else.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Ugh...I'm awake, showered, and trying to get my brain to concentrate on work. I got about 5 hours of sleep and I normally need a solid 8, so today will be interesting.

My next class starts today and I have the same instructor again. Third class in a row with him. He is fine, I would just prefer a different teaching style.

The fun for today is going to my passport application appointment. I'm unreasonably excited even though I have zero travel plans.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

We are up. ltc has had breakfast, and I have some beans cooking in the crock pot so that I can make chili this week.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Well wishes to all.

To complete the story, Hubs and Arthur were stuck in NC for an extra day. They got home yesterday afternoon, although I-77 apparently was not in ideal condition (especially ice under the overpasses). Arthur should be getting his next round of chemo on Thursday, but the first available appointment at the oncologist is next Tuesday.

Our wings are not tired.

Good to hear that Hubs and Arthur made it home safely. Best wishes for treatment success.

Someone remind me that if I get in the shower while ltc naps I'll feel better.

I'll see how it goes with chains and remind myself to park down by the road if they mention ice or snow in the forecast again.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

When I posted the other day about my anxiety spiking (it's still coming and going, which is really annoying), smonster mentioned it could be because I don't have an IUD anymore...and I suddenly realized why I'm getting acne for the first time in years and years. (Hormones being all weird and in flux.)

It should be either pimples OR wrinkles. Not both! Sheesh.

brillig

I see my doctor next week, and I want to talk about something for anxiety. I've been on Lexapro a couple of time, but I don't know if it did anything. I stopped taking it because I didn't feel any different, so I don't know if the Lexapro corresponded with a time of coping or if I didn't notice that I wasn't having crippling anxiety. What are the typical drugs for anxiety?

edit: I've been on generic Zoloft, and that was bad.

Thrive to spite them

I've been taking klonopin . I was taking it daily but I'm back to taking it as needed and it helps.
