[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Data is vs. data are is a perennial debate, at least when I've used it. The scientists like "data are"...well, the editors who edit the scientists like making it plural. But it's really a tossup.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Go Suzi! Write, write like the wind!

Well, it is done and submitted. It isn't great. I had to shortcut a few sections and I still ended up submitting it an hour late. My own damn fault.

I'll be ecstatic if I get 237/315. That would still leave me with an A. But at worst I need 137/315 in order to not have to retake the class.

And now I'm WIDE AWAKE. I just took my nighttime meds. I hope they kick in soon.

Our wings are not tired.

Yay Suzi! I hope you were sound asleep shortly after posting. I certainly was!

I gave up on Golden Globe watching about 9:30 my time so I will watch the rest during the day some time. As soon as I caught up with the buffer I went to bed because I can't watch commercials.

In oh what a sweet kid I have news, last night when he came in from work about 8:30 or so he had a couple wrapped half subs and asked if anyone wanted one. (he works at an awesome deli) When he closes he makes sandwiches out of whatever is left and gives them to homeless he passes on the way home, but there wasn't anyone out there that he passed last night. I didn't know he did this.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Laura, that is beautiful.

Suzi, I'm glad you got the paper done.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I'm about halfway through an article ... and I don't want to do it. I'm not especially interested in it, it's something that there's not much original to say about it, and I'd really rather go online and ... well, natter with the Buffistas, watch kitten videos, read news ... pretty much anything else.

Ugh...I'm awake, showered, and trying to get my brain to concentrate on work. I got about 5 hours of sleep and I normally need a solid 8, so today will be interesting.

My next class starts today and I have the same instructor again. Third class in a row with him. He is fine, I would just prefer a different teaching style.

The fun for today is going to my passport application appointment. I'm unreasonably excited even though I have zero travel plans.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

We are up. ltc has had breakfast, and I have some beans cooking in the crock pot so that I can make chili this week.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Well wishes to all.

To complete the story, Hubs and Arthur were stuck in NC for an extra day. They got home yesterday afternoon, although I-77 apparently was not in ideal condition (especially ice under the overpasses). Arthur should be getting his next round of chemo on Thursday, but the first available appointment at the oncologist is next Tuesday.

Good to hear that Hubs and Arthur made it home safely. Best wishes for treatment success.
