Thrive to spite them
I survived another swim meet. It was so hot and there were only 2 swim clubs, my nephews and the other but they were lots of kids.
Listened to some Hamilton and gritted my teeth through it.
Next week is the big end of the season meet which , from what I understand, is huge and long and I've already decided I'm not going.

Up and at 'em since I didn't get any computer time yesterday. Mom looked better when I visited her very briefly last night. Tricky business for sure at her age. Taking it a moment at a time. I feel worst for my sister in NY. Being at a distance is tough.

I'm feeling better and calmer today than I have in a couple weeks. I made a list of things I need to do to try to take better care of myself. Of course this isn't the first time I've tried to do something like that (or the 10th). So, we'll see how it goes.

Once again I am working on my "vacation", because the person who said she'd help me out apparently hasn't done anything. Even though I took care of her workload while she was on vacation and worked overtime to make sure she didn't come back to a backlog. I am feeling resentful and frustrated. I'd really like a vacation where (a) I didn't work at all, (b) I came back to find everything in order, and (c) both (a) and (b) were true at the same time.
