Up and at 'em since I didn't get any computer time yesterday. Mom looked better when I visited her very briefly last night. Tricky business for sure at her age. Taking it a moment at a time. I feel worst for my sister in NY. Being at a distance is tough.

I'm feeling better and calmer today than I have in a couple weeks. I made a list of things I need to do to try to take better care of myself. Of course this isn't the first time I've tried to do something like that (or the 10th). So, we'll see how it goes.

Once again I am working on my "vacation", because the person who said she'd help me out apparently hasn't done anything. Even though I took care of her workload while she was on vacation and worked overtime to make sure she didn't come back to a backlog. I am feeling resentful and frustrated. I'd really like a vacation where (a) I didn't work at all, (b) I came back to find everything in order, and (c) both (a) and (b) were true at the same time.

I started the new IBS med when we got home last night (because yesterday was exceptionally bad, which is not awesome when you're in a car for 12 hours). Fingers crossed that it helps!
(Plus, if it works, none of you have to hear about my gastrointestinal issues any more!)
