You like ships. You don't seem to be looking at the destinations. What you care about is the ships, and mine's the nicest.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Zen, that sounds very promising. Yay, Zen's doctor!

I have achieved lentil soup in the crock pot! I was supposed to make it yesterday, but ltc was a crank monster who wouldn't be put down for any reason. But today is better anyway because it means I can pick up the new Patricia Briggs from the library when TCG gets home from work, and magically dinner will be ready when I get home.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Zen, I hope this is new and good start for you!

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Zen, I hope one or all of your doctor's suggestions turn out to be useful.

I've started doing yoga, for certain definitions of "yoga". Have I mentioned it here? It's 45 minutes of gentle poses and half an hour of finding new ways to lie comfortably while a kind person covers me with a blanket. It's very soothing.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Calli, that sounds like my kind of yoga!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

In my continuing saga of trying to find a rheumatologist, UC Rheumatology doesn't take new patients with EDS anymore. So, I got a recommendation for a doctor at yet another practice who I can try calling.

Oh, that blows. I hope you have better luck with this one.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

How do you not fall asleep? Conversely, how do you not lock up in constant vigilance over having that much attention paid to you?

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

How do you not fall asleep? Conversely, how do you not lock up in constant vigilance over having that much attention paid to you?

When both urges exist in perfect balance with one another, then you have found your centre.
