I haven't renamed many of the kitties. I changed Spud to Tater and Bolt to Skipper, and I think that's all. Last night I got a brand-new cat, a chocolate one named Ganache! And Conductor Whiskers, who is a girl kitty of course, based on the real-life Japanese kitty train conductor. She's so cute with her little hat and whistle.
This game is a great way to take a brief break from work!
Yes! I couldn't remember her name.
Tama died, alas; her successor is also a female kitty (can't remember her name).
Ganache is an awesome name for a chocolate cat.
I am not getting any fancy-pants names for any of my kitties. It's all Marshmallow and Pickles and Tubbs; stuff like that. No hats and whistles for me. Boo.
Sail, the fancy cats only come for specific toys. Conductor Whiskers, for example, will visit when the twisty rail or the cardboard train are out. There's lots of guides out there, like this one: [link]
Tubbs will eat all the food whenever he shows up. If you put out more food while he's there he'll leave, but if you just let him sleep it off he'll give you a bigger tip. Luckily, Tubbs only appears outside, so once you expand your yard you can put the more expensive food inside to spare it from his appetite.

Tubbs has definitely been inside my house (my Neko Atsume house, that is!). I think maybe he only likes the less expensive food? I can't check now because I'm on a self-impose cat collector break until I do an arduous task I've been putting off.
