I've got little attachment to Thanksgiving as well. I'm delighted to work then, because it keeps me busy, I get paid well, and it'll be a quiet day when I can write and watch YouTube videos.

I like Thanksgiving's emphasis on eating. Otherwise, eh. It's just me and Tom and I'm hoping that I'll be able to walk the line between having all my faves and not slaving away in the kitchen all day.

I've found that I like having Thanksgiving as hermit holiday. There are big friends and coworker things leading up to it, and all the Yuletide stuff after it. Today I'll cook my favorites from the T-day menu and forget the rest, watch the Macy's parade, and read fanfic. I'm thankful that I can do all that, and the family togetherness stuff can wait until Christmas.

Ginger sorry the hospital stay is so frustrating I don't understand why things are made so much worse for sick people.
I have a cooking question. I have green beans and Brussel sprouts and never come up with a way to make them separately that doesn't use the same flavors. So would it be weird to cook them together? There is no bacon involved just sautéing and garlic and panko.
