I've found that I like having Thanksgiving as hermit holiday. There are big friends and coworker things leading up to it, and all the Yuletide stuff after it. Today I'll cook my favorites from the T-day menu and forget the rest, watch the Macy's parade, and read fanfic. I'm thankful that I can do all that, and the family togetherness stuff can wait until Christmas.

I have a cooking question. I have green beans and Brussel sprouts and never come up with a way to make them separately that doesn't use the same flavors. So would it be weird to cook them together? There is no bacon involved just sautéing and garlic and panko.
Do the green beans and Brussel sprouts cook at the same temperature and for the same time? If so, cooking them together makes sense to me.
My idea got vetoed by Mom. So I've got Brussel sprouts going to cook in panko and some apple cider vinegar and butter and she'll do green beans
