A client just called me on a day I'm not working on, apologized for calling me when I'm not working, and asked for something to be done ASAP. Something that she could have sent an email in order for me to do on Sunday, Monday, and the week before that, not an emergency at all, and my boss could have done it if I'm away.

The only mystery is how the hell she got my private number. Must refresh around the office my policy that clients do not get my private number nor email address. I don't work full time and we don't provide 24/7 support to justify such calls.

When I wrote back to her I asked her to email me in advance in the future. My co-worker and boss know not to give my number, so I suspect it might be the secratary. Long story short, someone did something wrong with my phone at work and now all of my calls get to her first. I might have to fix it myself, because the person responsible to getting it fixed is a "let you do my job for me" type of person. However, it's been going on for weeks now, and I'm tired of it, so I guess I'll sollow that frog (I would have done it sooner, but he approched me with this on literally the busiest day I have every year - a day before our annual conference. I'm 40% of the organization commitee and my to-do-list does not need any more tasks).

Yikes, Suzi. Has CJ ever handled or fired a gun before? Had he ever previously expressed interest in owning one? I mean, just how out of left field was this??

Whatever his previous experience with guns, obviously it is NOT OK for someone to give him a gun without checking with you first, at least not while he is (a) legally a minor and (b) living in your house. I'm just wondering where the idea came from in the first place.

A few months back, K-Bug, the bf, and CJ were talking about hunting. The bf made a comment that someday maybe he would buy CJ a rifle. And that was about it for foreshadowing.

He has fired guns before, target shooting. I have looked up the state laws and there is no gun registration or background checks required for rifles. Minors can possess rifles (with or without parental permission according to the law).

We don't have a gun case but the bf took the bolt and gave CJ a gun lock (goes through part of the gun and makes it impossible to fire). My thought of the morning is to get the bolt back from the bf or K-Bug and give that part to KCD or hide it in my room. Take that bit of "power" away from the bf.

I've also tried to look up the price of the rifle they gave him and DAMN...how the heck did they afford that?
