Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I first met Mr. Poldark as John Mitchell in UK Being Human. Nom.

Always Anti-fascist!

I really do like doing social media stuff for my volunteer job, but lately they are nagging me about everything, especially if I try to put something funny on the page. Like people are always going to want to click on the same, homogenous house party photos.I've already gotten nagged that capitalized tags look more #Professional. You know what looks professional? A#Paycheck. Since I don't get one, yes, I kind of post things to amuse myself(Nothing vulgar, I swear) But it's like "You do know we want people to visit the page, right?" I figure there ought to be a bright side to being a rank amateur, but lately...

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

How do they figure dead serious generates more hits than snark?

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I frequently help smaller people get things from high shelves. My local grocery specialize in piling to-be-shelved pallets in front of things, so even not so high shelves are unreachable.

In re Poldark - yes, a definite hottie. And there have been scenes of shirtlessness which I appreciated. Also - he broods beautifully.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

My appointment went well today. They think ltc is 6lbs 8 oz as of today, and my doctor thinks she may be ready a bit earlier than the 11th.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Feh. Just found out my cousin's wife passed away (no details, typical of my family). I haven't spoken to my cousin since the wedding five years ago (no drama, just not close). If I were local, I would definitely go to the funeral. Trying to decide if I should drive down for it. Problem is that I have a friend coming to visit this weekend. He's in NY, and he's coming up because another friend of ours is having a party. So, not a huge deal for him if I'm out of town (i.e. he doesn't lose a plane ticket).

I feel like a bad person because if I didn't have this big weekend party/friend visiting, I would probably try to go.

brillig

Are you close to anyone who is also close to that cousin and who might be expecting you? If not, are you liable to catch grief for saying "My god, I'm so sorry, but I have people coming, I wish I could be there"?
