'Out Of Gas'

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I'm so glad that your job is flexible enough to allow you to do what works for you.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Yeah, askye, it's great that your job is being so supportive of you! I'm glad you're feeling better.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

That sounds great, askye.

I'm back in PA now. Working on cleaning and packing my apartment some more. Well, trying to, except my ankle is really hurting, so trying to figure out what I can do while sitting down. Turns out, not much. Well, I can call the cable company to cancel my internet service here, and send some more emails about organization stuff, and book some hotels because there's nearly a week between when they pick up my stuff in PA and when they deliver it in Cincinnati, so during that time, I'll have an apartment but no bed to sleep in. (I'm thinking about an air mattress, but I'm not sure whether my back and hips will be OK with sleeping on an air mattress.)

I am on hold with my health insurance company. Wondering whether seemingly simple thing will actually be simple. I'm betting no.

Argh. They said I'm not eligible for COBRA, because I'm moving to a different state.

That shouldn't be true, Hil, though depending on the plan they might all be out of network. I mean, if only doctors in PA are in network so be it but there must be a plan for "I was traveling to Seattle and got sick", right?

OK, so, after 45 minutes on the phone with them, I found out that there are several plans they can offer me, but they actually don't know anything about COBRA, and I have to call some other number entirely to find out about COBRA.

Our wings are not tired.

My sister in holding. Now 45 minutes on hold for IRS. The recording said 30-60 min wait, so maybe soon? The music is not entertaining.

My hold music was a jazzy version of "You'll Never Walk Alone." Jazziness did not improve that song.

Huh. Spell check thinks that "jazziness" is OK.

I'm giving up on insurance stuff for today. I'll try again tomorrow.

I also emailed the apartment rental guy with some questions, and he called me back and left the answers on voicemail. So now I've got to listen to the voicemail and write down the answers, because it's addresses and phone numbers and stuff. Would it not have been simpler for him to just email me back? The reason I emailed these questions in the first place was because the answers were things like addresses and phone numbers that would be a pain to get over the phone.

I think I decided I'll get an air mattress for the time in Cincy before my stuff arrives. Looks like the more expensive air mattresses are supposed to actually be decent, and they're still way cheaper than six nights in a hotel.
